Henry Valma Nickens was the second child of Willian Nickens and Sarah Jane Kelly. He was born 26 Mar, 1866 at Ascension Parish, La. On 23 Jan, 1890 Henry married Laura Lucinda Moore in Ascension Parish. She was the daughter of Paris B. Moore and Mary Josephine Adams. Laura was born 26 Aug, 1873. Their marriage was blessed at St Theresa Sacred Heart Catholic Church 06 Oct, 1901. Henry died 17 Feb, 1943 and is buried at Prairieville Cemetery. Laura died 14 Sep, 1959 and is also buried at Prairieville cemetery.
