Leslie William Nickens was the fourth child of Henry Valma Nickens and Laura Lucinda Moore. He was born 09 May, 1898 at Hope Villa, Ascension Parish, La. Leslie William married Julia Louise Porche 31 Oct, 1925 at Frisco, Pointe Coupee Parish, La. Julia was born 04 Mar, 1905 at Ravenwood, Point Coupe Parish, La. She was the daughter of Leon Porche and Olivia Villere. Leslie died 04 Apr, 1995 and Julia died 06 Feb, 1995 at Melville, St Landry Parish, La. They are both buried at Melville Methodist Church Cemetery.
