Mary Lee Inice Nickens was the second child of Henry Valma Nickens and Laura Lucinda Moore. She was born 05Nov, 1894 at Hopevilla, Ascension Parish, La. On 19Feb, 1913 "Inice" married Joel Jesse Stephens. He was the son of George Ulysses Stephens and Nancy Lavonnie Bullock. Joel was born 04Dec, 1884 at Head of the Island, Livingston Parish, La. He died 15Jun, 1938 and is buried at Roselawn Cemetery at Baton Rouge, La. Marylee died 26Oct, 1982 and is also buried at Roselawn Cemetery. She is listed as "LeeInice" in the 1930 census.
