Isom James "Dan" Nickens was the third child of Seaborn James Nickens and Francis Matilda Ficklin He was born 07Nov, 1907 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. He married Farris Soley Stephens. She was the daughter of Will Soley and Doeria McCrory. No other information is available on Farris. Dan James's second wife was Verby Brown Edmonston. She was born 1921to Ronnie Lee Brown and Winnie Berteau Gore. Verby Nickens died 1966 and is buried at Prairieville Cemetery. Dan James died 30Jun, 1972 and is buried in Mt.
