Winnie Nickens was the first child of Jordan Samuel Nickens and Mary Julia Henderson. She was born Aug, 1890 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Winnie married Alphonse LeBlanc 07 Feb, 1910 at St Theresa Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gonzales, Ascension Parish. Alphonse was born at Sorrento, La. 03 Jul, 1892. He was the son of William LeBlanc and Felicite Trabeau. Alphonse was descendent of one of the founding families of Sorrento. He was accidentally electrocuted and died 26 Jul, 1917. After Alphonse's death Winnie married Ollie Blount. He was born 17Sep, 1912. Winnie died 24 Sep, 1976 and was buried with Alphonse at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Saint Amant, La. Ollie died Mar, 1991. There is no further information about him.
