William Hybart "Willie" Nickens was the first child of Newman Carroll Nickens and Lydia Lodelia Singletary. He was born 02 Nov, 1918 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Hybart, or "Willie" as he was called married Susie Ellamae Edwards, date and place unknown. She was born 27 Nov, 1919 at Central, East Baton Rouge Parish, La. Ellamae was the daughter of J. Birch Edwards and Alice Lovett. She died 08 Apr, 1983 and is buried in Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery, Zachary, East Baton Rouge Parish, LA. Hybart remarried to Myra Spaar Gisch in 1984, exact date and place unavailable. Myra was born 23 Sep, 1921 at New Orleans, La. She was the daughter of John Spaar and Elsa Sternberger. Hybart died 26 Jan, 2004. Myra died 28 Nov, 2008. Both are buried in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery, Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, La.
