Rita Fern Nickens was the fifth child of Bernard Norris Nickens and Rosa Dixon. She was born 17 Feb, 1943 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Rita Fern married Lester Edward Dupuy 04 May, 1962 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. He was born Mar, 1937 at Denham Springs, Livingston Parish, La. He is the son of Alphonse Dupuy and Emma Jones. At the time of her death, Rita Fern was resident of Denham Springs, Livingston Parish, La. She died 27 Jan, 1998 and is buried in Carpenter's Chapel Cemetery, Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Lester is living.
