Norman Joseph Nickens was the first child of Norman Harold Nickens and Margaret Leche. He was born 13 Jan, 1922 at Lake, Ascension Parish, La. Joe married Frances Nell Thornton, date and location unavailable. She was born 20 Apr, 1925 at Phillips, Etowa County, Al. Frances was the daughter of Will Thornton and Mary Gramlin. Francis Nell died 07 May, 2009 at Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, La. Her ashes are interred in the Columbarium at St Luke's Episcopal Church , Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, La. Joe died 19 May, 2011.
