Myrtle Noelie Marchand was the seventh child of Edna Abigail Nickens and Joseph Nicholas Marchand. She was born 17 Mar, 1917 at Port Vincent, Livingston Parish, La. Myrtle Noelie married Joseph Asner Rushing, date and location unknown. He was born 28 Feb, 1917 at Walker, Livingston Parish, La. Joseph was the son of Robert Rushing and Catherine Font. Noelie died 04 Dec, 1953 and is buried in Mt Zion Cemetery, Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Joseph Rushing remarried 4-5 years after Noelie's death to Ida Marie Butler. Ida was born 13 Aug, 1927 to Eugene Neville Butler and Gertrude McElwee. Joseph and Ida's marriage was dissolved. He then married Louise West. Joseph Rushing died 18 Feb, 1983 and is buried at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Denham Springs, Livingston Parish, La.
