Evelyn Clara"Sweetie" Nickens was the sixth child of Millard Jennings Nickens, Sr. and Essie Lucille Coates. She was born Jun, 1936 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Evelyn Clara married Robert Gibson "Dempsey" Badon 05 Aug, 1950. He was born 06 Apr, 1928 at Crystal Springs, Cupiah County, MS. Dempsey was the son of Abner Badon and Gertrude Belden. Dempsey died 18 Mar, 1989 at Hammond and is buried at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery, Pumpkin Center. Evelyn Clara is living.
